Free for Fighting

It has been a while since I have been in a MMORPG that I actually respect: Dark Age of Camelot. In many ways I feel like I was driven from the genre by high maintenance cost, bad players, and no real incentive to not just recklessly run into every enemy I see. So, with so many MMOs out there, I have decided to play a little bit of the free market. … continue reading this entry.

Assaulting good taste

A while back I picked up a game for the Xbox 360: Zoids Assault. I had found it on sale and, within a few hours of play, I had found out the reason. … continue reading this entry.

Zero what is this zero

It seems strange to be drawn to an anime like I am to YuGiOh. As a proud player of Magic the Gathering, YuGiOh seems very childish in the way the card game presents itself, but the anime holds a place in my heart.  With the camp villians, shamless card game plugs, and utter lack of respect for the original creator, I am still drawn to it. … continue reading this entry.

It is sad to say that the 493 Pokemon will be reduced to 492. In the latest announcement from Pokemon Company International regarding the new Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver brought tragic news: the beloved Pokemon Ditto will be dropped. … continue reading this entry.

Tidings of Silver & Gold

As time goes on, it stands to reason that we would go back and revisit some of our favorite games from the past. Many games have found places in our hearts, but how many really stand the test of time? Well, in light of the newly-announced remake of Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver, I dusted off my GameBoy Color and blew into my cartridge for my replay of the old classic. … continue reading this entry.

Times change

This may come as a surprise to most people, but I am a huge fan of comics, with anything from the Avengers to Bands (an indie comic from Indy) in my catalog. As I showed my father the Watchmen movie tonight, I noticed something: heroes have changed in the last thirty years.

New Lawsuit from Paltalk

Last march PalTalk sued Microsoft over patents relating to methods and systems for communicating over networks. With the matter settled out of Court with an undisclosed sum, most people thought it was just a blip on the radar. But PalTalk is back and ready to go with new opponents. the new offenders are Sony, Activision, and Blizzard. … continue reading this entry.
